About Us

Universal Die & Stampings was founded in Illinois in 1967 by Harry and Giselle Eichmann.  The business relocated to its current location in Wisconsin in 1980.  Starting as a job shop in a two car garage, UDS has evolved into a state of the art 42,000 square foot total concept manufacturing facility.  Both Harry and Giselle played an integral part in the innovation and growth of the company as well as instilling solid work ethics, strong craftsmanship skills, lifelong learning and always ensuring customer service was top notch.

Since 1994, Carol Baier has owned and successfully managed UDS.  As Harry and Giselle’s daughter, Carol grew up working in the family business learning all aspects of the industry.  Carol’s children are also active in the business, learning the skills from the craftsman that were taught by their grandparents.  UDS has a large majority of long tenure employees which instills trust, a wealth of knowledge, maintains strong work ethics and provides excellent customer service at any level.  Those values are still the cornerstone of UDS.

UDS employees deeply care about the work they do.  They take great ownership in the product and have pride in being American manufacturers.
